Founded in 2014, LympheDUDEs is a stylish and comfortable compression garment option for men with lymphedema. LympheDUDEs is the menswear counterpart to ladies wear compression garment brand LympheDIVAs. Founded in 2006, the story of LympheDIVAs begins in Philadelphia with two young breast cancer survivors, Rachel Levin Troxell and Robin Miller, who developed lymphedema as a side effect of their breast cancer treatment. Their physicians and lymphedema therapists recommended a compression sleeve as a way of controlling the swelling. When Rachel and Robin researched their sleeve options, they were hard pressed to find a sleeve they would actually want to wear on a regular basis. The only sleeves available were rough textured, heavy, hot, beige and bandage-like. Frustrated and dismayed over their lack of options, Rachel and Robin met with fashion designer, Kristin Dudley to develop a more attractive and comfortable compression sleeve. In late 2007, Robin left the company. Soon after, Rachel discovered her breast cancer had returned. While she was being treated, she continued building LympheDIVAs, which brought her much joy during a difficult time in her life. Rachel died January 22, 2008, at the age of 37. At Rachel’s request, her father, Dr. Howard Levin and her mother, Judy Levin took over the responsibility of running the company which their daughter helped found. In August of 2010, Rachel’s little brother, Josh Levin, joined the company and is currently running it with his parents. Rachel’s determination and compassion to improve the lives of breast cancer survivors and those affected by lymphedema is very much ingrained in the mission statement of the LympheDIVAs and LympheDUDEs brands. In the spring of 2014, LympheDIVAs introduced six LympheDUDEs menswear designs to their pattern offerings to raise awareness and cater to the modern man with lymphedema. Today, LympheDIVAs & LympheDUDEs products can be found in retail locations all over the world.
